2013 is coming to a close. We have been fortunate to witness the birth of the first running club in Kuching during the second half 2013 and the progress of this club is growing strong. The commitment our committees and running friends has not gone unnoticed and results has shown itself for this sport. Our biggest achievement would be our committees now consists of full marathon runners and we are surrounded by many running friends achieving this feat too! 42.195km seems like a crazy feat to achieve but this year we have seen number of finishers increasing and we believe it will be growing for years to come.
Thanks must also go to those who have supported the HPRC financially with the purchase of t-shirts. We hope that the good quality and design makes your running more fun and comfortable when you are wearing it.
We would be doing our first charity run next year, Road Share Run 2014. This 5km fun run is to create awareness for both road runners as well as drivers to be aware of each other's presence and sharing the road safely. Fund raised will be channeled to the Sarawak Hospice Society.
The HPRC have exciting times ahead and we would love for all the runners to continue with us on this journey. We shall continue to organize runs in the future and most importantly to support new runners.
